If humans aren't meant to eat meat, then they're not meant to eat mushrooms.
Mushrooms hail from the fungus, the things that rot on the corpse
Fungi aren't "fun guys": they have no real brain, and they can't know anything about pain
Everything in life is gain, as they crawl all over dead bodies.
How disgusting is that?
But they're part of our world
No less than the predators hunting
No less than omnivores scrounging
No less than antelope grazing
Like the flesh, they are not born of the root
Earthen roots which give raise to trees
Tiny dinosaur-trees of the garden
Vast apple trees to give us their gift.
The trees to hide in, to build treehouses with, to take fruits from
The mushroom is just a fleshy growth among the branches of a dead home
Flesh? Flesh is for zombies, you say.
The mushroom has flesh, flesh like an animal, a primitive animal.
Yet you post recipes of mushroom flesh anyway.
Because the mushroom cannot feel.
If humans aren't meant to eat meat, then they're not meant to eat mushrooms.
